Pure-Land Buddhist Association in Ca Mau holds year-end meeting

The executive board of the Pure-Land Buddhist Association in Ca Mau province reviewed Buddhist affairs in 2017 at a meeting held on January 26.

The event taking place in Hung Quang Meeting House in Ca Mau city was attended by Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Diệu Hiền and Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Đoàn Tấn Sỹ.

The annual meeting discussed results of social-religious activities of 22 establishments under the association in 2017.

As reported, during the year 2017, the Buddhist establishments in the province have contributed over VND 12 billion to social, charity activities including free medical examinations and distribution of traditional medicine packs, support for flood victims in Vietnam Central, etc.

According to approved tasks set out for 2018, the pure-land Buddhist association in the province will hold election for the 2018 - 2023 tenure this year.
