A charity delegation of the Pure-land Buddhist Association in Ben Tre province from October 19-22 visited people seriously affected by floods in the central provinces of Thua Thien Hue and Quang Tri.
The charity delegation led by Ven. Diệu Không (Mrs. Châu Thị Thu), Head of the Executive Committee of the Buddhist association, in collaboration with Herbalist Võ Hoàng Yên and local authorities has distributed 1,000 relief packets to flood victims in Trieu Phong district of Quang Tri and Quang Dien district of Thua Thien Hue.
Each relief packet contains noodle, rice, soy sauce, cooking oil, monosodium glutamate, essential medicines (flu drug, antipyretics antiseptic solution, medicated oil, etc) and some cash. The relief packets have the total value of 200 million VND.
