On August 18 in Ha Noi city, Minister of Public Security Tô Lâm hosted a warm welcome for the visiting of religious dignitaries’s delegation on occasion of the 71th anniversary of Vietnam People's Police Force.
Joining in the reception included representatives of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs.
During reception, representative of the delegation congratulated Minister of Public Security Tô Lâm on his new position and extended best wishes to the Minister as well as all leaders and cadres of the Ministry of Public Security on occasion of the 71th anniversary of Vietnam People's Police Force. Religious dignitaries also expressed hope that the Minister and Vietnam People's Police Force would continue respecting and ensuring the right to freedom of belief and religion for all Vietnamese people.
Minister Tô Lâm took the chance to exchange with representatives from Catholism, Caodaism, Protestantism, Buddhism, Tứ Ân Hiếu Nghĩa, Baha’i, Islam and Hòa Hảo Buddhism social, economic and security situation in the country as well as in the region and the world. The Minister, who is also Member of the Political Bureau, also expressed hope that the dignitaries together with believers of all religions in the country continue to unite and make practical contributions to the cause of national construction and defense.
