A delegation of Binh Duong provincial authorities visited Phu Cuong diocese’s Cathedral on March 15 on occasion of St. Joseph Day (March 19).
Welcoming the delegation led by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Đặng Minh Hưng was Bishop of Phu Cuong diocese Joseph Nguyễn Tấn Tước.
Speaking during the visiting reception, Vice Chairman Đặng Minh Hưng praised Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Tấn Tước and Catholic priests, clergies and followers in the province for their contributions to socio-economic development in the locality over the past years. He also called on the diocese bishop and local Catholics to promote fine traditions for social unity and community development in the province.
Currently, Binh Duong province is home to 94,000 followers of Catholicism with 84 worshipping places.
