03/30/2020
In response to a call for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic, Protestant organizations in Vietnam have proactively followed with instructions of the Ministry of Health, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and local authorities.
All 13 registered Protestant organizations in the country have issued separate dispatches for strengthening preventive measures against the nCovi epidemic, including the refrain from handshaking when contact directly and having meals together, and strict observance of the instruction of the Ministry of Health on isolation and self-isolation for people having symptoms of fever and cough, etc.
The Protestant organizations requested pastors in localities to stop organizing pastoral affairs for weddings and shorten funeral services, as well as increase online services and interactions.
The Protestant organizations also encouraged exchanges on social media measures against the spread of the virus, and appropriate forms of religious services in the context of the current Covid-19 pandemic.
