Protestant chapters of My Tho and Lai Cay under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) (ECVN) in Tien Giang province have handed over 27 water storage cisterns for elementary and kindergartens schools in local remote areas.
As reported, 27 water cisterns used to store and supply clean water in localities where water source has been contaminated by alum and heavy metals in the locality were casted by concrete with size of 1.8m x 1.8m and volume of 5 m3 per cisterns.
Specifically, My Tho Protestant Chapter located in My Tho city’s Ward 7 handed over 12 water cisterns to 3 schools in Tan Phuoc districts, Lai Cay Protestant Chapter located in Lai Cay town handed over 15 water cisterns to 3 schools in Lai Cay district.
The total cost for completing the cisterns was estimated at over 135 million VND and contributed by believers of the two chapters and donors.
