Promoting role of ethnic and religious women in Central Highlands

On June 29, the Central Highlands Steering Committee in collaboration with Vietnam Women’s Union held in Dak Lak province a seminar with the theme “Roles and positions of ethnic minority women and experiences in mobilizing ethnic- religious women in the Central Highlands”.

According to a seminar report, the Central Highlands is a multi-ethnic region with 47 ethnic groups. The Party and State have developed specific policies for the Highlands region and addressed many pressing socio-economic issues for past years. Many women in the region have proactively participated in the local administration and made important contributions to the stability and development of the Central Highlands.

During the event, participating delegates focused their discussion on many useful topics including experiences and solutions for strengthening roles and positions of ethnic and religious women in the Central Highlands.
