Priest in Bao Loc makes practical contributions to social development

For the past years, Priest Paul Dương Công Hồ, Head of Thanh Tam Catholic parish in Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province has successfully encouraged local Catholics to effectively join in movements launched by local authorities.  

Thanks to the advocacy work of Priest Paul Dương Công Hồ, 1,100 Catholic households in Loc Tien ward, Bao Loc city proactively responded to the building new-style rural program by creating bright, clean and beautiful places in the locality.

Given the support of the local authorities the priest and local Catholics have renovated a cemetery of Thanh Tam parish in Bao Loc city that has been existing for over 60 years.

In addition, Priest Paul Dương Công Hồ and local Catholics also dredged a stream through the parish which has been polluted by wastes. Under the guidance of the priest, members of the parish spent 120 working days to clean the stream, contributing to environment protection in the locality.

Given the priest’s leadership, Thanh Tam parish also has contributed over eight billion VND to build eight rural allies with the total length of 4.5 km. The priest also organized free English music and martial arts classes for local people.
