The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapter in Quang Ninh province held on December 2 a press meeting for commemorating the 710th death anniversary of King–Monk Tran Nhan Tong – Founder of Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen Buddhism.

According to the press meeting, the 710th death anniversary of King–Monk Tran Nhan Tong taking place from December 6-12 will include a commemoration ceremony, a grand requiem and several other Buddhist rituals held at Ngoa Van temple and Truc Lam Palace.
On the occasion, the VBS in partner with the Vienam National University in Hanoi and the People’s Committee in Quang Ninh province will organize an international seminar themed “King Tran Nhan Tong and the Truc Lam Buddhist sect –ideological and cultural values” with the participation of experts and scholars in the country and from overseas.
The 710th death anniversary is expected to attract thousands of locals and visitors.
