President pays Tet visits to religious dignitaries

On January 30, 2014, President Trương Tấn Sang and leaders of Ho Chi Minh City paid Tet visits to religious dignitaries in the city.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Trương Tấn Sang wished religious dignitaries and followers a happy New Year, considerately asked them about their lives and organizations and listened carefully their opinions on the country’s issues.

President Sang met with Most Venerable Thich Trí Quảng, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha (VBS) Executive Council and Head of the Executive Board of the Sangha’s Ho Chi Minh City chapter; Most Venerable Thích Thiện Tâm, Vice Chairman of the VBS Executive Council; Priest Nguyen Công Danh, Chairman of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC) and its Ho Chi Minh City chapter; and Priest Phan Khắc Từ, Vice Chairman of the CSVC’s Ho Chi Minh city chapter. He praised the VBS, the CSVC and dignitaries for their contributions to the national construction and development as well as active participation in social activities over the past time.
