Politburo member Trương Thị Mai extends Christmas greetings to Thanh Hoa Catholics

Politburo member cum Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Trương Thị Mai visited Thanh Hoa Diocese and extended her Christmas greetings to local Catholics in the province on December 21.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Politburo member Trương Thị Mai offered her best Christmas wishes to Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Đức Cường of Thanh Hoa, and all Catholic followers in the province.

She informed the Bishop of the national socio-economic situation and achievements in 2020, noting that the achievements were also contributed to by the Catholic community.

She appreciated the solidarity and attachment between Thanh Hoa Party’s Committee, the authorities and Thanh Hoa Diocese in recent years while expressing the belief that the Bishop and other Catholic dignities in the province will continue to encourage Catholic followers to promote their tradition to contribute further to the national development.

Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Đức Cường thanked the Party, State, Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front as well as leaders of Thanh Hoa Province for paying due attention to Thanh Hoa Diocese.

He affirmed that Catholic followers will continue to follow the policies of the Party and laws of the State as well as actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to building a prosperous nation.

On the same day, the Party official visited Phuc Lang Parish in Quang Truong Commune, Quang Xuong District, and extended her Christmas greetings to Priest Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh and local Catholics in the parish.
