Phu Yen province: Religious people in Tay Hoa district contributed almost one billion VND for social charity

For building the local transport system, raising fund for the poor, building charity houses… religious people in Tay Hoa district contributed a sum of nearly one billion VND in recent years.
This contribution was stated at a conference to review ten years implementing the Party’s Resolution 25 on religious affairs organized by the Tay Hoa district Party Committee on December 2.
It’s also reported during the conference that there are currently over 4,000 religious followers in the districtbelonging to four recognized organizations, with Buddhists accounting for more than half of this number. In previous years religious individuals and organizations in the district made many practical contributions to movements for social cohesion and community development in the locality.
