The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) and its chapter in Hai Duong province held a solemn ceremony to inaugurate Phong Hanh pagoda’s the three-jewel worshipping building on November 06.
Attending the ceremony included Most Venerable Deputy Patriarch of VBS Thích Trí Quảng, Most Venerable Standing Vice Chairman of the Central VBS Executive Council Thích Thanh Nhiễu and more than 300 monks, nuns and Buddhists in the province.
Distinguished guests at the event included Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Đặng Thị Bích Liên.
Phong Hanh Pagoda is an ancient temple built under the Ly dynasty. The reconstruction of the pagoda’s three-jewel worshipping building was started in 2013 and completed after three years of work with three stories of 30m high, construction area of 800m2 and the total construction cost of over VND 50 billion.
