Han Son – Ba Bong Festival in the northern province of Thanh Hoa’s districts of Hau Loc and Ha Son annually starts on the 1st of the 6th lunar month province and usually attracts tens of thousands visitors.
This year, in the first days before the Covid-19 outbreak in Da Nang City, the festival drew large numbers of locals and visitors, with up to over 10,000 people a day.
Due to risks of the nCov infection, visitors to main worshipping activities of the Han Son – Ba Bong festival taking place on the 12th of the lunar month at the weekend have been reduced to less that 50%, as compared with previous years, and many visitors have put on facemasks for preventing the spread of the pandemic.

In addition to the communication work on the epidemic through local radio, posters, etc, local authorities have distributed 800 free facemasks and disinfection liquids for hand washing to the festival participants.
