The Association for Solidarity of Patriotic Monks in Tra Vinh province’s Cau Ngang district in collaboration with district authorities held on February 12 a ceremony for handing over a charitable house to Mr. Thach Kim’s family in the district’s Hiep Hoa commune.
Attending the event included Most Venerable Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board in Cau Ngang district Thạch Son, Senior Venerable Head of the solidarity association in Cau Ngang Thạch Rây, heads of pagodas in the district, and representatives of district authorities.
The total investment of the charitable house is valued at over 146 million VND, in which the patriotic monk solidarity association donated 50 million VND, and the rest was contributed by the district authorities and the family of Mr. Thach Kim.
This is the third charitable house completed with the Buddhist solidarity association’s support, after two others which were handed over to the disadvantaged households in 2019.
