The annual ox racing festival at Ro Temple 2019 took place on September 21, in An Giang province’s Tinh Bien District, attracting 24 pairs of oxen from localities in the district.
The race track this year consisted of two rounds with the total length of 400 meters usually laid on an even ground, and this year race saw fierce competitions and full of enthusiasium and lauds from spectators.

This year, the pair of oxen belonging to Mr. Đặng Văn Em from An Cu Commune got the first prize. The second and third prizes went to ox pairs of Mr. Lê Thanh Phong and Mr. Nguyễn Phước Sang, both from An Phu Commune.

This is a tradition held annually ahead of the Sene Dolta Festival of the Khmer ethnic minority community residing in Bay Nui (Seven Mountains) region in An Giang.
