On July 14, Hanoi city Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics organized a conference to honor “Good People, Good Deeds” in Catholic communities for 2010-2015 period.
According to a conference report, over the past years, in response to the movement “All people unite to build cultural life in residential areas”, 100% Catholic parishes and communities registered to build “the cultural village”, “the cultural family” and “the advanced parish”. Every year, more than 90% of Catholic households received the title “cultural family”.
The movements aimed to raise funds for the poor, victims of natural calamities and for protection of the homeland’s sea and island have enjoyed an active response from Catholic followers with the total contribution of nearly six billions VND.
