Over 600 Buddhists register to serve at Covid-19 field hospitals

Responding a call of Most Venerable Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in Ho Chi Minh City Thích Trí Quảng, over 600 monks, nuns and lay Buddhists have registered to serve at field hospitals for taking care of Covid-19 cases starting from July 22.      

These registered Buddhists include 59 monks and nuns, and 553 lay Buddhists, with 131 Buddhists having studied medical science and possessed medical expertise.

As reported, the Health Department in the city has been organizing a training on preventives measures against Covid-19 pandemic and professional skills in helping Covid-19 cases to these monks, nuns, and lay Buddhists in the locality.
