As part of the traditional Ooc Om Bok Festival of tKhmer people this year, the Ngo boat race took place on November 21 in Soc Trang province.
The event saw the participation of Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Phan Văn Sáu, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Huỳnh Văn Sum, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Lâm Văn Mẫn, local authorities’ representatives, and large numbers of local people and visitors.

This year, the race drew 51 teams, including 10’s women racing teams from provinces of Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Hau Giang and Vinh Long. They have competed in two distances of 1,000m and 1,200m.
