Northern Catholic Youth Festival held

12th Youth Festival of Hanoi Catholic province took place at Phat Diem diocese Cathedral in Nam Dinh province on Nov. 27-28 with theme “Go and preach the Gospel”.

Attending this year’s festival were Archbishop Peter Nguyễn Văn Nhơn of Hanoi Archdiocese, Chairman of Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam; Secretary General of Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam Bishop Cosmas Hoàng Văn Đạt; Bishops of dioceses of Hanoi Catholic province; priests, clergymen and clergywomen, seminarians and youth from 10 diocese covering 30 Northern provinces and cities.

Official and religious guests to the festival included Vice Chairman of the Government Committee of Religious Affairs Dương Ngọc Tấn, Nam Dinh provincial leaders, and representatives from the provincial Buddhist Executive Committee of Nam Dinh and authorities of Kinh Son district and Phat Diem town.   

During the festival, Catholic youth also exchanged on “Evangelization of family life” and explored together ways to share love and render service to family’s members as well as neighbors in line with pastoral guidelines of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam.
