During the visit, while extending greetings to dignitaries, deacons and all Brahmins in the province on occasion of Kate festival, Deputy Secretary Phạm Văn Hậu expressed hope that Cham dignitaries, deacons and prestigious people will promote their roles and closely collaborate with local authorities to encourage and guide Brahmins to strictly implement Covid-19 prevention measures and make practical contributions to the socio-economic development in the province.

Kate festival 2021 of the Cham Brahmin in Ninh Thuan province has been taking place from October 4 to October 7. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the Cham Brahmin dignitaries council in the province has asked custom boards of Cham temples and towers to cancel festive and cultural activities at Cham temples, towers, worshipping establishments and public places during the festival, as well as encourage local Brahmins to only perform the Kate ceremony within their own families, and do not invite guests and relatives from other localities.
