A ceremony for celebrating the Buddha’s Birthday Anniversary 2016 and closing the Jade Buddha for Peace exhibition was solemnly held on May 10 at Bai Dinh Pagoda in Ninh Binh province.
The event was co-organized by Ninh Binh provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), Bai Dinh Pagoda and Xuan Truong enterprise, with participation of local authorities’ representatives and a large number of Buddhist dignitaries and followers from localities.
During the ceremony, the provincial VBS Executive Committee’s representative encouraged Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers to always implement the Buddha’s teachings and live in harmony for the interest of all sentient beings, and peace and happiness of every people.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Mai Văn Tuất spoke highly of Buddhist unity, harmony and social contributions in Ninh Binh province. He also expressed hope that Buddhist dignitaries and followers would continue to make practical contributions to national solidarity, construction and defense.
