Nguyet Quang pagoda holds ground- breaking ceremony to construct ancestral worshipping and lecture halls

On October 1st, 2014, at Nguyet Quang pagoda (Tay Tien commune, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province), the Executive Committee of Tien Hai district Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) held a ground- breaking ceremony to construct ancestral worshipping hall and lecture hall for summer retreat courses. 

Attending the ceremony were Most Venerable Thích Thanh Dục, Executive Member of the Discernment Council of the VBS and Member of the Executive Committee of Thai Binh provincial VBS, and representatives from provincial and district Buddhist Executive Committees and Buddhists in the locality.

Venerable Thích Thanh Hòa on behalf of Buddhist delegates praised the merit of the Buddhist Executive Committee and followers of the Tien Hai district VBS for their support and contributions to build the ancestral worshipping and lecture halls, contributing to propagate Dharma.

At the closing ceremony, the delegates conducted a Buddhist ground- breaking ritual for ancestral worshipping and lecture halls.

It is reported that Nguyet Quang pagoda is one of six summer retreat schools in Thai Binh province providing accommodation during summer retreat courses for monks and nuns of Tien Hai and Thai Thuy districts.
