Attending the ceremony were Mr. Giang Ngọc Trực, Vice Chairman of the provincial Party Committee’s Board for Mass Mobilization, Mr. Võ Thành Công, Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, Mr. Trần Văn Ban, Vice Chairman of Ben Cau district People’s Committee and representatives from local authorities.

Representatives from the Tay Ninh’s Vietnam Buddhist Sangha at the ceremony included Most Venerable Thích Huệ Tâm, Vice Chairman of the provincial Buddhist Executive Board and Buddhist dignitaries and followers inside and outside the province.

The ceremony took place solemnly with Buddhist rituals such as offering flowers and presenting roses. The abbess spoke about the meaning of Buddhist Parents Day as an opportunity to show respect and gratitude to the Parents.

At the ceremony, Mr. Võ Thành Công, on behalf of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs said the Buddhist Parents Day was an opportunity to honor traditional, cultural and spiritual values of Buddhism that closely linked to traditional culture of Vietnam. He also recorded and appreciated contributions in social and charitable activities of Ben Cau district’s Buddhists over the past time.

On the occasion of the ceremony, representatives from local authorities presented gifts and flowers to the Buddhist Parents Day ceremony.
