The establishment of Lan Quan and Choi Hong churches under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (ECVN) (North) was formally announced at two separate ceremonies held on December 22 and 23 in Thai Nguyen province.
Attending the events included Pastor President of the ECVN’s Executive Committee (North) Nguyễn Hữu Mạc, Pastor General Secretary of the ECVN (North) Nguyễn Đức Đồng and large numbers of Protestant followers from the province’s Lam Quan and Choi Hong villages.
Representatives of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs also joint with Protestants at the ceremonies.
During the announcing ceremonies, Pastor Nguyễn Hữu Mạc handed over the decisions on the establishment of the two churches and local authorities’ representatives also presented congratulatory flowers to the two Protestant churches of Lan Quan and Choi Hong.
