Da Sar Protestant chapter under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (ECVN) (Southern) in Lam Dong province’s Lac Duong district held on April 6 a solemn ceremony to inaugurate and consecrate its new church.
Attending the inauguration ceremony were Pastor General Secretary of the ECVN (Southern) Phan Quang Thiệu, Pastor Member of the ECVN (Southern) Executive Committee in charge of pastoral affairs in Lam Dong province Kon Să Ha Hăck, pastors from the Church’s representative board in the province and over 3,500 followers in the province.
Local guests at the event included Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Văn Đức.
In 2015, in order to facilitate religious practices of over 3,000 Protestants in Da Sar chapter, Lam Dong provincial authorities approved for the chapter to build its new church in area of 565.5 m2 with two stories, replacing the 365 m2 original wooden church. The new church has been completed at a total cost of over VND 11 billion.
