New Protestant church inaugurated in Lam Dong province

Lieng Bong Protestant chapter under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (ECVN) (Southern) in Lam Dong province’s Duc Trong district  held on October 26 a solemn ceremony to inaugurate and consecrate its new church.  

The event saw the participation of Pastor President of the ECVN (Southern) Thái Phước Trường, Pastor Member of the ECVN (Southern) Executive Committee in charge of pastoral affairs in Lam Dong province Kon Să Ha Hăck, pastors from the Church’s representative board in the province and over 1,000 Protestant dignitaries, deacons and followers in the province.

Local guests at the event included Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Văn Đức and representatives from local authorities.

Lieng Bong chapter was established in 1967 and officially recognized by Lam Dong provincial government in 2010. In 2014, in order to facilitate religious practices of over 200 Protestants in the chapter, Lam Dong provincial authorities approved for the chapter to build its new church in area of 360 m2. The new church was completed after four years of the construction, at the total cost of over VND 2.3 billion.
