Dong Trang Protestant chapter under the Vietnam Evangelical Church (South) located in Duc Trong district of the Central highlands province of Lam Dong inaugurated its church at a solemn ceremony held on April 28.
The ceremony was presided over by Pastor President of the Evangelical church Thái Phước Trường and attended by Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Văn Đức, representatives of local authorities and over 1,500 followers of the church in the province.

As reported, the establishment of Dang Trang Protestant chapter was recognized by the provincial government in 2007. By the time, the chapter had 237 households with 1,385 Protestant followers administered by Pastor Kon Sa Ha Y Hiêm.

Given approval from local authorities, the construction of the Protestant chapter’s worshipping church on 330 square meters was started in 2013 and completed at the construction cost of VND 3.357 billion.
