New grassroots religious organizations established in Ca Mau

Ca Mau provincial authorities approved on September 29 the establishment of a Buddhist pagoda and a Catholic parish both in the province’ Ngoc Hien district.

By the time of approval, Phat Quang pagoda under the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)'s Chapter in Ca Mau province has 331 believers and becomes 52nd Buddhist worshipping place in the province, and Rach Goc parish belonging to Can Tho diocese has 302 believers.

Ca Mau province is now home to 143 grassroots religious organizations under six religions of Cao Dai, Catholism, Buddhism, Hoa Hao Buddism, Protestantism and Vietnam Pure Land Buddhist Association.
