Bishop Apostolic Administrator of Hung Hoa diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Viên presided on November 6 a mass for the formal establishment of Moc Chau parish under Hoa Binh – Son La – Dien Bien deanery.
Attending the mass included Bishop John Mary Vũ Tất, former Bishop of Hung Hoa diocese, about 20 priests form Hung Hoa and other dioceses, and local parishioners.
During the mass, Priest Joseph Nguyễn Công Bình was formally appointed as Head of Moc Chau parish.
Moc Chau parish currently has 240 Catholic households with 885 parishioners and four sub-parishes and two meeting places.
