The Saint Paul sub-parish under My Tho diocese formally promoted as a parish at a mass held on February 26.
At the event
The event taking place in Phu Dong commune of Tien Giang province’s Tan Phu Dong district saw the presence of Bishop of My Tho diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm, priests and lay Catholics of the diocese.
During the event, the Catholic sub-parish held a Thanksgiving ceremony and announced the decision to establish the Saint Paul sub-parish as Saint Paul parish, as well as appointed Priest James Nguyễn Minh Phụng as the new parish’s head.
On the occasion, the parish held the Sacrament of Christian Initiation for 30 new members of the parish.
