A thanksgiving ceremony for the inauguration of Giong Cat parish church in Chau Thanh district of Tien Giang province under My Tho diocese took place on November 29.
The ceremony was chaired by Bishop of My Tho diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm and attended by representatives of the provincial committee for religious affairs, and large number of Catholic priests, clergymen, clergywomen and followers in the diocese.
Giong Cat parish church was built in 1938 and repaired several times. The construction of the parish was started in January 2017 on a total area of 256.7m2 at the cost of over five billion VND.
