The new church of Kim Bang parish in Ha Nam province’s Phu Ly city was solemnly inaugurated at a ceremony held on October 1.
The ceremony was presided over by Cardinal Arch Bishop of Hanoi Archdiocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Nhơn and attended by a large number of Catholic followers from Kim Bang and neighboring parishes.
The reconstruction of the parish church on area of 559 m2 with 43m high and 14m wide was started in November 2013.
On the occasion, 3.5- high statue of the Lady of Lavang on area of 120 m2 inside the church was also inaugurated.
Kim Bang parish currently administrated by Priest Peter Trần Văn Việt has six congregations of Kim Bang, Binh Chinh, Trung Dong, Kim Tan, Van Lam and Kim Tan Que with over 1,700 followers.
