Tan Phong Catholic Community under My Tho Diocese held on November 11 a inauguration and consecration ceremony for its new church in Tien Giang province’s Cai Lay district.
The inauguration and consecration ceremony was chaired by Bishop of My Tho Diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm and attended by a large number of Catholic believers in the diocese.
Local guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Văn Khuê.
Thanh Gia Catholic Community was established in 1960 accommodating Catholic followers in Cu Lao commune of Cai Lay district. The construction of its new church was started in 2015 on an area of 435m2, with total construction cost of over VND 4 billion which contributed by donors and Catholic followers.
