Ngoc Thanh Buddhist monastery located in Ward 1, Tay Ninh city formally inaugurated its new sanctum and other facilities at a ceremony held on August 14.
The event saw the presence of Deputy Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Discernment Council Most Venerable Thích Giác Nhường, Most Venerable Deputy Secretary of the VBS Discernment Council Thích Giác Giới, and large numbers of Buddhists monks, nuns, and followers.
Distinguished guests at the event included Deputy Director of the Home Affairs Department Trần Minh Nay and Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Võ Thành Công.
As reported at the event, the monastery’s main worshipping building and other facilities have been completed after three years of the reconstruction and at the construction cost of over VND 10 billion.
