New bishop of Thanh Hoa pays visits to parishes of Bao Loc deanery of Da Lat Diocese

Bishop of Thanh Hoa Diocese Joseph Nguyễn Đức Cường has paid return visits to parishes under Bao Loc deanery in Da Lat diocese where he had been serving before his bishopric ordination by the Vatican.   

The bishop visited parishes of Thanh Tam, Tan Bui and Suoi Mo from July 27-29 and warmly welcomed by local priests and parishioners.

During the visit he also met with Chairman of Lam Dong provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Văn Đức and received congratulations extended to him on his new post.

During the visits, Joseph Nguyễn Đức Cường expressed gratitude to the love and support of local Catholics extended to him during his pastoral years in the parishes. He also led a thanksgiving service at Thanh Tam parish church.

Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Đức Cường was born in Thanh Hoa province and spent many years serving as vicar of the parish of Tan Thanh, Bao Loc (1992-2001); vicar of the parish of Tan Bui, Bao Loc (2001-2005); parish priest of Tan Bui, Bao Loc (2005-2015); and parish priest and dean of Madagui Deanery (since 2015), and Vice Rector of Minh Hòa seminary.
