Phan Thiet Diocese has been without the Apostolic Administrator from the March 1st after the death of Bishop Joseph Vũ Duy Thống.
Bishop Thomas Nguyễn Văn Trâm was born in January 9, 1942 and ordained priest on May 1, 1969 in Ba Ria province. He is used to serve as Auxiliary Bishop of Xuan Loc Diocese from March 6, 1992 and Cathedral Bishop of Ba Ria Diocese from November 22, 2005.
