Regarding to religious issues, Deputy Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm mentioned reported activities related to the group “The Church of Almighty God” and regarded some of these reported activities, such as the abandoning of the ancestral worshipping altar, as alarming.

Deputy Thích Bảo Nghiêm also highlighed the sensitivity of religious issues, as many people still abuse freedom of religion, causing harm to social stability and public order. 

 “We have the Law on Belief and Religion enacted, and to make the law effective the Government need resolute sanctions for protecting the freedom of belief and religion as well as preventing abuse of the state religious policy by individuals”  said Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm.
