Attending the meeting were Chairman of the Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children of the National Assembly Đào Trọng Thi, Deputy Director of the Home Affairs Ministry cum Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Phạm Dũng, and members of the Drafting Board of the law project on belief and religion and its working group.

During the meeting, participating delegates discussed and voted on major issues relating the draft law such as the necessity of promulgating law on belief and religion, name and scope of the draft law, recognition of religious organizations, operation of religious organizations in the fields of education and training, health, social charity, and competence of the State agencies on the administration of belief and religion.
