The National Assembly Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children held a seminar on June 21 to gather comments from experts to the draft law on belief and religion.
The event was presided over by Chairman of the Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children of the National Assembly Nguyễn Thanh Hải, and attended by Deputy Minister of the Home Affairs in charge of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Trọng Thừa, Chief Executive Vice Chairman of GCRA cum Deputy Head of the Draft Committee Bùi Thanh Hà, large numbers of experts, scholars and officials, and members of the Draft Committee’s Drafting Team.
During the seminar, participating delegates made comments on the competence of the concerning authorities, the legal entity of religious organizations and the draft’s provisions on prohibited acts, etc.
