On September 4th, 2014, at Bui Chu Diocese (Nam Dinh province), Bishop Thomas Aquinas Vũ Đình Hiệu of Nam Dinh Diocese presided over a ceremony for ordainment of priests at the Bui Chu Cathedral.
Attending the ceremony were Bishop Laurenxo Chu Văn Minh, Director of the St. Joseph Seminary Hanoi with over 200 priests inside and outside the diocese, as well as large numbers of followers from parishes.
Six deacons were selected and sent to St. Joseph's Seminary in Hanoi for learning and practicing in 8 years. After completing a training course in the Seminary, the deacons will spend one more year for pastoral internship as well as execution of deacon’s tasks at the diocese.
