A delegation from the NA Committee led by Vice Chairman of the Committee Trịnh Ngọc Thạch had working meetings with leaders of Soc Trang province and relevant agencies on the implementation of policies and laws on religion in the locality on Jan 23.
According to a local report, over the years, Soc Trang provincial authorities have attached its importance to the dissemination and implementation of the Ordinance on Belief and Religion in order to ensure religious activities by dignitaries and followers conducted in accordance with the religious Charter and the laws of the State.
Religious organizations and followers have actively participated in social charities including the opening of preschools for children and humanitarian activities.
Vice Chairman Trịnh Ngọc Thạnh spoke highly of the implementation of policies and laws on religion and said this implementation effectively contributed to ensure the ethnic and religious unity in the locality.
On Jan 22, the NA delegation visited Ke Sach district and met with Soc Trang provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee for practical findings about the implementation of laws on belief and religion in the locality.
