NA Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children inspects implementation of religious laws in Binh Thuan

A delegation of the National Assembly Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children led by Vice Chairman Trinh Ngoc Thạch had a meeting with Binh Thuan provincial People’s Committee on June 29 to discuss the implementation of the State’s policies and laws on belief and religion in the locality.
The meeting also made discussion on the draft law on belief and religion scheduled to be approved by the National Assembly in October, 2016.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Trịnh Ngọc Thạch praised efforts of local authorities for the implementation of laws and policies on religion and belief in the locality. He also highly appreciated comments for improving and completing the final draft law on belief and religion.
Binh Thuan province currently has over 470,000 followers belonging to eight religions (accounting for 39.94% of the local population) with over 1,600 dignitaries and 466 worshipping establishments.
