A spring meeting between provincial authorities of Tien Giang, Long An, Dong Thap and Catholic dignitaries of My Tho Diocese was held on February 27 at My Tho Bishopric located in My Tho city.
Attending the event included Priest Vicar General Paul Trần Kỳ Minh, priests representing the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC) in provinces of Tien Giang, Long An, Dong Thap, representatives from authorities of the three provinces covering the diocese’s area.
During the meeting, Priest Paul Trần Kỳ expressed his thanks to the three provincial governments for creating favorable conditions extended to the Catholic practices of the diocese over the past years. The priest also expressed hope that diocese and local authorities in three provinces would further strengthen the cordial relation and closely work to ensure freedom of Catholic practices in accordance with State law.
