Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Trương Quang Nghĩa hosted on January 22 a reception for a visiting delegation of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics, ahead of Lunar New Year 2019.
The delegation was led by Priest Chairman of the Catholic solidarity committee in Da Nang city Peter Nguyễn Hùng.
During the reception, Secretary Trương Quang Nghĩa, who is also Member of the Party Central Committee, highly appreciated valuable contributions made by the Catholic solidarity committee for the development of the city and stated that municipal government would always facilitate religious practices and community activities of Catholic followers in the city.
Speaking with the host, Priest Peter Nguyễn Hùng thanked municipal leaders for its due attention to the operation of the Catholic solidarity committee, and extended New Year greetings to all officials and public servants of the municipal government.
