From October 29 to November 1, groups from Minh Ly faith organization and Missionary Caodai Church visited and presented gifts to the central provinces of Quang Tri, Quang Binh and Quang Nam.
During the visits, the Minh Ly faith organization presented 400 relief packets, each worth 500,000 VND in cash; the Missionary Caodai Church handed over 400 packets of relief supplies including blankets, mosquito nets, notebooks and food, with the total value at over 112 million VND.
The charity groups also visited hospitals of Quang Nam and Nam Tra My for handing over cash reliefs, each worth one million VND, and 20 relief sets worth 195,000 VND each to patients who were victims of landslide in Tra Leng commune, Quang Nam province’s Nam Tra My district.
The Minh Ly faith organization also visited and presented 3 million VND in cash to Trung Khanh parish of the Missionary Caodai Church in Quang Nam to help it overcome the consequences of the flooding.
In addition, the Minh Ly faith has donated 32 million VND to assist people in the Central region who were severely affected by recent storms and floods in response to a call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, and contributed 20 million VND to the fund set up by a group of Caodai sects, and organizations for sending relief to the flood-hit people.
