Xuan Loc diocese in collaboration with the Committee for Religious Affairs in Dong Nai province held on September 11 a ceremony to see off the 4th batch of 120 Catholics volunteering to join the frontline forces against Covid-19 in the province.
Responding a call of the provincial authorities on encouraging religious people to participate in the Covid-19 prevention work, up to now, Xuan Loc diocese has over 500 volunteers who are Catholic dignitaries, deacons, and clergyman & clergywoman joining frontline forces fighting against Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Priest Vicar General of Xuan Loc diocese Dominic Nguyễn Tuấn Anh, the program calling for voluntary services together with frontline forces against Covid-19 pandemic has received supports from Xuan Loc Saint Joseph's Seminary, religious orders, parishes and parishioners in the locality.
As reported, these new Catholic volunteers will be trained with basic professional skills on the pandemic prevention work before going to at hospitals, health centers and quarantine areas that are providing treatments of Covid-19 patients.
