The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee and Phap Van Pagoda co-organized on Sept. 12 a conference on a pilot model for environmental protection and climate change adaptation.
The event saw the attendance of Vice Chairman of the VFF Central Committee Lê Bá Trình, Director of the Nordic Assistance to Vietnam/ Norwegian Aid (NAV/NCA) Eivind Ather and Venerable Abbot of Phap Van Pagoda Thích Thanh Huân.
During the conference, Venerable Thích Thanh Huân presented the draft model of Phap Van Pagoda. The draft model focuses on the key triangle coordination between the VFF Committee (authorities), the Buddhist pagoda and local residents.
During the event, the participating delegates discussed and approved specific contents of the pilot model developed by Phap Van Pagoda, including the establishment of a coordination board for evaluation and development of an effective model for environmental protection and climate change response.
