Model for ensuring public security, order in Catholic places launched in Ninh Binh

The Public Security in Ninh Binh province’s Nho Quan in collaboration with Dong Bai Catholic parish held on November 24 a ceremony to launch a model for ensuring public security and order in local Catholic parishes and communities.

Attending the launching ceremony included Chairman of the provincial Public Security Phạm Văn Sơn, Priest Head of Dong Bai parish John. B. Bùi Văn Kế, representatives from local authorities and a large number of local Catholics in the parish.

Dong Bai Catholic parish in Quang Lac commune currently has 300 households Over the past years, local people and followers of the parish have closely worked together for promoting solidarity and civilized lifestyles.

During the ceremony, Quang Lac commune authorities announced the establishment of the self-management groups for ensuring public order and security in villages of Dong Bai and Dong Thanh and the Public Security in Nho Quan district also handed over assisting tools to the self-management groups.

On the occasion, the Public Security in Nho Quan district and Quang Lac commune presented gifts to Catholic households and pupils under difficult circumstances in the parish as well as handed over helmets to local Catholics.
