Ministry of Resources and Environment continues receiving comments on the Draft Decree guiding the implementation of Environmental Protection Law

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is still calling for contributions to the Draft Decree on detailing a number of articles in the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 before submitting it to the Government for consideration and approval.
Implementing the Prime Minister’s instruction, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has, in collaboration with concerning central ministries, agencies and the provincial-level government, completed the drafting of the Government’s Decree and posted it in the portals of the Government and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for public comments since June 15, 2021.
For the past months, some press agencies have articulated feedbacks from several organizations and business associations on the draft decree, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has issued press release responding to these feedbacks.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment continues welcoming comments and opinions from individuals, organizations and businesses to the draft decree before submitting it to the Government. Therefore, religious individuals and organizations could contribute to the building of the Government’s decree to concretize some articles in the environmental protection law through the portals of the Government and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
The Law on Environmental Protection 2020 was approved on November 17, 2020 at the 10th session of the 14th Legislature. The law has 171 articles arranged in 16 chapters, and will go into effect on January 1, 2022.
